ALS Awareness
Charities funding research, providing support for treatment and care, and general support services for those living with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
Every May, ALS Awareness Month shines a light on the strength and resilience of individuals living with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. ALS is a progressive nervous system condition that affects muscle control, but ongoing research, therapies, and community support continue to improve quality of life and bring hope to those affected. While there is no cure yet, advances in treatment are helping to slow progression and ease symptoms for many.
How can you support the ALS community?
Charity Navigator has curated a list of top-rated nonprofit organizations dedicated to ALS research, advocacy, and care. Your donation can help fund scientific breakthroughs, provide support for patients and caregivers, and drive awareness around this complex disease. Use the Giving Basket to support one or multiple trusted organizations working to improve lives and advance toward a cure.
If you are a U.S.-registered 501(c)(3) charity with a four-star Charity Navigator rating and are actively supporting the ALS community, please complete and submit this survey. Our team will review your information for potential inclusion in our ALS resource listings to help donors connect with impactful, transparent organizations.
